Classical Pilates Teacher Training
The 600-hour Somaspace Pilates Teacher Training Program is an apprentice-based program covering the Classical Pilates Method. This comprehensive program provides 110 hours of seminar instruction alongside observation, anatomy studies, meetings and apprentice teaching toward a total of 600 hours of training.
I wanted to teach Pilates in its original form and have a full understanding of the original work. ~ Shannon
Over the course of one year, apprentices will explore the classical Pilates system utilizing the mat and all apparatus, including the reformer, cadillac, chair, barrels, Pedi-Pole and other small apparatus. The program is limited to 4 apprentices to ensure a depth of knowledge, studio time and space for practice, and an individualized learning experience. A bridge program is available for teachers who have completed a comprehensive Pilates training program.
I prefer the culture and technique of Classical Pilates. Amanda and I met about her program, and I liked her energy and the business she created. I liked the way the program was set up ~ weekend intensives along with personal practice and observation built in. ~ Lauren
A note from Amanda...
As your teacher trainer, I am personally invested in your success as a Pilates teacher. I purposely developed this program as an Apprenticeship. The distinction of an Apprenticeship ensures a start-to-finish system of support as you develop a strong personal practice of the Pilates method and carry those personal experiences into your teaching practice. My goal is to create a safe, supported and inspired environment so you may thrive.
